Gröndal,

One of the most charming and near "suburbs" or parts of Stockholm due to its distinct feeling of a "small city within the city" where you easily know your local service people and many neighbors, yet not too small to feel confined. Appreciated features include easy access to outdoor swimming or boating in lake Mälaren, walking in forests and parks, art museums, etc.
Gröndal is at bicycling distance or even walking distance if you like a half-hour's walk to the city center of Stockholm, if you don't prefer the tram, bus or subway alternatives. The aorta of Sweden, highway E4, runs above Gröndal with its own turn-off exit to Gröndal which makes it easy to get in and out everywhere with a car, too.

Remarkably, given the fact that it's the Architect School, this building is considered by many to be the ugliest building in Stockholm.
